Future Panther Night

Every Spring, all of South Medford High School comes together to celebrate and welcome those 8th graders who will be becoming Panthers that fall!

Future Panther Night is South Medford High School's highest-attended event, and it's a must-do if you are either already slated to attend South or if you are considering joining us from a charter or private school!

At Future Panther Night, you can - 

  • Learn about our academic courses (Math, English, Social Studies, etc.) and meet the teachers!
  • Learn about our AP (Advanced Placement) course opportunities!
  • Chat with a member of our Counseling team!
  • Chat with a member of our Special Education team!
  • Learn about dual-credit (college) course options available!
  • Learn how you can apply to obtain an AAOT (Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer) degree while in high school!
  • Meet our School Resource Officer, Officer Marshall!
  • Meet our Principal & Assistant Principals!
  • Learn about our clubs and meet the club advisors!
  • Meet our Activities Director, Mrs. Burton!
  • Meet our Student Government/Leadership Advisor, Mr. Kauk!
  • Learn about our club sports and meet the coaches!
  • Learn about our athletics teams and meet the coaches!

This year, Future Panther Night will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026, beginning promptly at 6:00pm! The event begins in the gym with an introduction led by our Principal, Mr. Lyons, and then families & students are released to visit all of the tables/displays and chat with everyone until 7:30pm!

More communication and a save-the-date postcard will be sent out closer to the date!
