Yearbook & Senior Photos

Class of 2026,

This year, in order to upload your senior photo to be used in the yearbook, you will use Jostens Photo Share. Senior pictures are due before December 19th, AKA Winter Break.

Some guidelines:

• Your photo must be school-appropriate. No excessive bareness. Senior pictures are "headshots." This means from the waist up. If you upload a picture of your full self standing in a field from 100 yards away, we will not use it. 
• You need to be recognizable and identifiable. No sunglasses or props. If you choose to wear a hat, your face must be showing. Hats are discouraged. 
• Hands may be cropped out if they are distracting or gesturing. Hands should not cover your face.
• You may choose black and white, color tone (sepia, for example), or full color. They will be printed in "UV Gloss" which is an expensive finish that makes them glossy, almost like an actual photo.

If you do not choose to upload an appropriate photo, that is your choice. If your SMHS ID photo is appropriate, it will be used instead. If you did not take a photo for your ID, are not planning on getting a photo taken at Picture Retake Day on October 14th, and/or you do not plan on submitting a senior photo, you will not be included in the senior section of the yearbook.

You do not need to pay a professional. If you do, many photographers need time to edit your images. Plan for that process and turn in your ONE photo for the yearbook on time. 

I will send out more information to your parents about Senior Dedications, which are a paid feature in the senior section. They will be due mid-January. They are fun and make a great graduation gift to you with a photo and congratulatory message.

The Jostens website will ask you key information regarding who you are and how to use your photo. SELECT 12th grade in order for your photo to be placed in the senior section.

If you want a senior quote, YOU MUST TYPE IT IN AS THE CAPTION. This is the ONLY way to turn in your SENIOR QUOTE.
