What is the Panther Future Center?
South Medford High School’s Panther Future Center is your resource for all options post-high school. We can assist with inquiries regarding university, military, community college, workforce options, and technical programs. You can also learn about SMHS’s many options for obtaining college credit while taking high school classes. For students interested in more one-on-one advising, South has mentoring programs such as TRIO and ASPIRE. It is our role to assist students and parents in taking advantage of the aforementioned opportunities.
Letters of Recommendation
Need a Letter of Recommendation for a college or scholarship application? Use these resources to create the necessary forms to share with your teacher or counselor so they can write a quality letter for you. You can edit them at any time and share with as many people as needed! Please give the forms to the letter writer at least 2 weeks before you need the finished letter.

College Representative Visits
Panthers! Did you know that in the fall we welcome college representatives from colleges & universities in Oregon and beyond?
Take advantage of having college reps on our campus and learn all about their school's majors, campus life, scholarships, admissions process and more! These sessions are open to all grades, and students are responsible for making up any missed class work.

Military Recruiter Visits
Every year, we welcome recruiters from many branches of the United States Military! These sessions are open to all grades and are typically held at lunch, but just a reminder that if you sign up for a session that is held during class time, you will be responsible for making up any work that you miss!
